Changchai Co., Ltd, a national industrial enterprise with over a century of history, is one of China’s earliest specialized manufacturers of internal combustion engines and the first listed company in China’s agricultural machinery industry as well as in Changzhou City. The company operates a National-level Enterprise Technology Center, a Postdoctoral Research Station, and the Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Research Center for Small- and Medium-Power Internal Combustion Engines. Adopting advanced technologies such as high-pressure common rail (recognized by China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment), Changchai has pioneered China IV emission-compliant diesel engines for non-road machinery, offering diversified series and models with enhanced reliability and fuel efficiency. Its single- and multi-cylinder engines for non-road equipment have achieved Euro V emission certification, securing access to European and American markets. To date, 66 products have received provincial or municipal high-tech product certifications, alongside 156 valid patents (including 17 invention patents) granted globally.
Changchai holds certifications for ISO9001 Quality Management Systems, ISO14001 Environmental Management Systems, and IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management Systems. It has been consistently ranked among "China’s Top 500 Machinery Enterprises" for multiple years.
Equipped with advanced internal combustion engine manufacturing technologies, Changchai has imported state-of-the-art casting, machining, assembly, and engine testing equipment from the United States, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, and Austria.
